2008-2009
It seems that so much has happened already and we’re only one month into the school year!
Thanks to all of you who supported our Sally Foster fundraiser – we are pleased to announce that we earned over $4,200 for our school! This met our goal of $4,000 and is about the same as we earned last year for this fundraiser.
Thanks also to everyone who helped to make our playground a reality. It was a 4-year undertaking: gaining approval for the playground, selecting a playset and developing the layout, fundraising, and finally, construction! It could not have been done without the support of the families, school, and parish – truly a team effort! Special thanks to the chairs of the playground committee, Jayson and Laura Cote, as well as Andy James, who donated the car lease that was raffled off last year and helped us earn enough to purchase the playset.
We have temporary fencing around the playground so that the children can start using the playset. We expect to have a chain-link fence installed around the perimeter by the end of the month. We are fundraising for this fence by selling personalized fence pickets (used on the interior of the playground area) – if you are thinking about purchasing a picket, now is the time!
